With over a decade at Kroger, I have gained extensive experience across multiple teams and roles, allowing me to develop a deep understanding of the company while continuously growing my skills in regulatory compliance, healthcare operations, and process improvement. Currently, I serve as HIPAA Admin Support for the East Divisions, specializing in pharmacy breach reporting, compliance oversight, and risk mitigation. I have processed over 1,200+ pharmacy breaches in 2024 alone, ensuring proper patient notifications and regulatory compliance. My role involves close collaboration with pharmacists and division leaders to enhance training, improve breach reporting accuracy, and reduce compliance risks. At the end of each year, my team compiles and submits thousands of breaches to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), ensuring adherence to federal regulations. Beyond my core responsibilities, I am cross-trained in TLC HIPAA operations, assisting with third-party patient record requests, and have experience monitoring pharmacy licenses nationwide. My background includes expertise in Medicare/Medicaid compliance, vendor coordination, special orders management, and pharmacy billing solutions, helping streamline operations and reduce claim issues across thousands of pharmacy locations. I am passionate about process improvement, compliance leadership, and healthcare innovation. Through my monthly HIPAA/PHI newsletters, I help educate pharmacy teams on policy updates, trends, and best practices, fostering a culture of compliance and continuous learning. As an active member of Kroger’s Women’s EDGE ARG Group, I am inspired by strong female leaders and strive to empower others in their professional journeys. Balancing my career with being a full-time mother and wife, I remain committed to advancing within Health & Wellness leadership and making a meaningful impact in pharmacy compliance and healthcare operations.
