About Meng Sun

4+ years of postdoc in computational/experimental biology in immunology & 4+ years of PhD in computational biology in cancer biology. During postdoc at Stanford, I published as lead first author in Nature Immunology and collaborated to publish in Nature Materials, Science Immunology, etc. I used multi-modal, data-driven approaches to study infectious diseases and vaccine responses. I actively developed new approaches and applied generative AI foundation models, machine learning methods, and cloud computation to analyze the multi-modal datasets, including scRNA-seq, bulk RNA-seq, spatial proteomics (CODEX), CyTOF, flow cytometry, immunoassays such as Luminex and ELISA, and microbiomics. I collaborated over 10+ labs on my leading projects. I mentored 6+ students in computational biology and bioinformatics during my PhD and postdoc. In my PhD at Boston University, I worked on developing new computational approaches in imaging analyses on cancer-collagen images, modeling signaling pathways, and collagen fibers. I also extensively worked experimentally on human in vitro models, including the human tonsil organoid and 3D tumor spheroid models.
