About Meredith Argo

They say that "if you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life!" I've utilized my passion for teaching and ability to engage students as a teacher at the elementary and middle school levels for twenty years. Working in the metro Atlanta area as an educator, I developed a love for teaching math and science during my early years, eventually moving to middle school where I became certified in middle grades’ math, social studies, and science, and received my Gifted Certification. I also participated in the Kennesaw State University Math-Science Partnership through Metro R.E.S.A, receiving my KSU MSP Endorsement. Building a safe space for students, I've developed skills through Restorative Circles and Whole Brain Teaching that meet the academic, social, and emotional wellness needs of the whole child. An advocate for teamwork and professional learning communities, I've served as the Team Lead for AC Social Studies and ON Level Math, as well as Math Department Chair. I also served as a Collaborating Teacher for two years, mentoring and influencing two student teachers, and also graduated from the Cobb Teacher Leader Academy in 2023. Currently, I am serving a third term on the Principal's Advisory Committee and a second term on the Guiding Coalition, while continuing on my Doctorate in Education, with a focus on middle grades math and science. Working in tandem with amazing teachers to develop curriculum and deliver results-oriented instruction, seeing the students' eyes light up when they grasp a concept or engage in challenging academic dialogue, and continuing to grow as a teacher-leader give me experiences along the journey that enhance my love and joy for teaching!
