About Meredith Clark

I am a graduate from Northeastern University’s Bouvé College of Health Sciences receiving my BS with concentrations in Public and Global Health. I was fortunate to have two valuable co-op work experiences through Northeastern. The first I was a Fitness and Wellness Instructor at The Jewish Community Housing for the Elderly. I led fitness classes to improve balance and strength of the residents as well as managed the gym. For my second co-op, I worked at The Food Project as a Farm Assistant. During this time, I assisted with managing the farm, led and facilitated all volunteers and their activities, and developed marketing materials for the organization. One of the many opportunities I had at school was to be an active Member of Northeastern’s GlobeMed Chapter which was eye opening. Due to this experience, what I learned at both co-ops, and my other extracurricular activities, I developed interests in local and global issues related to nutrition, water sanitation and hygiene, community and public health. Throughout my schooling I was able to take advantage of different travel opportunities. I participated in Northeastern’s Dialogue of Civilizations Spanish Language and Culture. This program was five weeks in various cities in Spain where I studied and explored every aspect of Spanish life. I chose to continue this experience by continuing to travel across Europe. This helped to expand my global awareness significantly. After graduating I am continuing to broaden my understanding of how interconnected the world is through more travel and work. I am funding this part of my life through working in the service industry. This is providing me with great experiences as well as the flexibility I need to continue to travel and overall journey.
