I represent employers across industries including life sciences, financial services, health care, higher education, and hospitality in a broad range of labor and employment disputes. I partner with clients to proactively identify issues and devise legal solutions that are specifically tailored to the client’s workforce and business needs. I regularly advise on, defend, and prosecute restrictive covenant matters involving theft of trade secrets and confidential information, as well as other violations of noncompete and nonsolicitation agreements. I have experience conducting audits and internal investigations, as well as defending clients in single plaintiff, class, and collective actions across the spectrum of employment laws. I routinely advise and defend clients in matters involving discrimination, harassment, whistleblower and retaliation issues, wage and hour issues, reductions in force, restrictive covenants, the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and other leave laws, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other accessibility issues, the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and diversity and inclusion programs. I regularly assist clients with compliance programs, as well as provide training on a variety of employment matters, including sexual harassment and investigation best practices. I maintain an active labor practice and work with clients to devise labor strategies that are designed to meet long term goals. I advise employers on traditional labor issues, including union organizing, unfair labor practices, and collective bargaining. I have negotiated first contracts for health systems and universities involving graduate students and resident physicians. I routinely handle interest and grievance arbitrations, as well as represent employers before the NLRB and other state labor boards.
