Degree: BSN, RN, BLS/ACLS certified I worked on a Pulmonary Progressive Care step down unit for almost 8 years. Leading the plan of care for our complex patients, teaching, precepting, mentoring and collaborating with physicians and team members. I then transitioned to Utilization Review where I review clinicals and collaborate with physicians and physician advisors ensuring patients are placed in the appropriate status (IP vs OSV) working with insurance companies and ensuring our health system is getting reimbursed and paid accordingly. Advocating for the patient and for the health system. I have experience in PreOP and PACU preparing patients for surgery, EKG, lab work, vital signs, medication administration and recovery room monitoring, assessments, discharge education or hospital admission. Present experience working at Vanderbilt University Medical Center working in Medical Intensive Care Unit caring for ARDS patients, liver failure, post transplant patients, ventilator dependent, sedation management, hemodynamic management with multiple IV drips, ect.
