Currently manages and directs all activities involving technical development, process automation and data manipulation at MAPS Ltd. Leads a team of experienced and qualified technical professionals focussed on providing effective and robust solutions to a diverse range of business problems. On the professional services side of MAPS, is involved in business development projects as Senior Analyst, Project Manager or Programme Manager and is one of only a handful of professionals in Ireland certified by the PMI as a Programme (PgMP) Management Professional. Has a particular interest in risk management, business continuity planning, technical strategic development and continuous improvement initiatives. Educated at Trinity College Dublin and University College Cork with a degree in Mathematics, a Masters in Software Development for Computer Networks a PhD in Computer Science. An accomplished researcher with a number of significant publications is high profile journals as well as conferences and symposia; academic experience includes tutoring, lecturing, post graduate research supervision, syllabus creation and maintenance and external examiner consultancy. Previously a founding and Executive Director of Applied Computing Solutions Ireland Ltd in was crucial to the development of that business into a competitive and specialised technical services company and led the merger between ACSI and MAPS in 2006.
