I am a creative person with over fourteen years of experience in public libraries. I have watched the field of librarianship undergo continuous change since the beginning of my career, and have never been more excited to be involved in this profession than I am today. As we move into the next five years, I look forward to helping libraries redefine themselves as organizations that promote content creation, multimedia, student success, human connection and STEM literacy. The public library is an avenue for connected learning where interests, mentoring and opportunity combine in a way that makes it possible for everyone to pursue their interests and receive enthusiastic support.
