About Meredith Sadin

I am social scientist that loves to use data to observe and create change. An expert in myriad methodological approaches (RCTs, surveys, IDIs, focus groups, program evaluation, and other experimental methodologies), I use both quantitative and qualitative data to answer big programatic and policy questions. I have extensive experience collaborating with practitioners, policymakers, government agencies, and the private sector on projects designed to evaluate, implement, scale, and improve public policies and programs as well as access to the democratic process. I am to utilize Community Based Participatory Research (CBPR) approaches in her research – conducting rigorous and systematic research with the collaboration of those directly impacted by the issue being studied. I have been invited to speak about my research at top universities across the country as well as the FBI, the Center for Active Design, Enroll America, and The Analyst Institute. My work has been cited in The New York Times, New Republic, Pacific Standard, and The Washington Post, published in top scholarly journals, and funded by the CARESTAR Foundation, National Science Foundation, the Spencer Foundation, Scholars Strategy Network, California Collaborative for Public Health Research and Russell Sage Foundation. I currently serve as the Faculty Director of the Center on Civility & Democratic Engagement (CCDE) as well as a Faculty Research Affiliate at the Possibility Lab, both at UC Berkeley's Goldman School of Public Policy.
