About Meredith Wishart

I have spent my career focusing on dismantling barriers for students with disabilities. With 18 years of experience as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, and director, I bring a wealth of knowledge to creating inclusive, impactful programs. I challenge the status quo, advocating for a shift from "special education" to "accessible education" – a philosophy that empowers schools to proactively remove barriers and rethink instruction to benefit all learners. My commitment to inclusive education fuels my work. From ensuring student and family voices are heard to transforming fragmented systems into cohesive support networks, my focus is on progress, growth, and equitable access for all. I have a proven track record of success, from building therapeutic programs to driving Mastery Charter School's rise to the highest growth quartile in Pennsylvania. I began my career as a Teach For America Corps member, followed by a fellowship in the Relay GSE National Principal Academy. This dedication to educational advancement has strengthened my leadership. I am a force for change, empowering schools to dismantle ableism and ensure every student has the opportunity to thrive.
