About Merissa Treft

I am the type of person who loves to care for people and better their lives in any way. In my past occupations I tend to hold, I am usually working with people and customer service. I tend to find careers that work with people. During my college days I was a waitress at a popular steakhouse. After that I wanted to achieve more education to lead me towards a career and finding my passion. I obtained my Certified Nursing Assistant licence and have worked in the same assisted living ever since obtaining my licence. While working as a CNA I completed the coursework to become a Qualified Medication Assistant. I worked as a QMA in a dementia unit until I was offered a position in management. I now am the Wellness Administrative Assistant, which is the assistant to the directors of nursing. I handle staff scheduling, hiring, interviewing, medical records as well as many other hats. My goal in life would be to obtain a career working with people and improving their life as well as mine. While working I enrolled full time at IPFW to obtain a Bachelors in Psychology and become fluent in Spanish. Graduation date May 9,2018. I find my passion in the inner workings of the human mind and what makes people who they are and why. As well as learning how to better lives of people with my knowledge.
