Seasoned and agile leader, multi-skilled in General Management, Finance, Operations, HR and Sales, which places me in a unique position to effectively engage across the functions of most organisations. I've held key roles in corporate companies across 6 different industries in the manufacturing and trading sectors - Sugar, Cotton, Poultry, Flavour Systems, Packaging and Wood & Textile. Gained extensive experience in world class financial, operational, food safety, EHS, and business best practices, during over a decade spent at a large multinational, Cargill. Successfully served as MD of Cargill’s South Africa Sugar operation, developing and executing business plans, driving sales strategy and operational effectiveness, drawing up and executing against budgets and capital expenditure projects. Lead skilled teams across multiple countries, and worked extensively in Sub-Saharan Africa, gaining exposure to business restructures, and liquidations. Experienced also in the integration of new acquisitions into corporate structures, systems and processes My formula for success is developing people and motivating them for top performance. I am the eternal optimist striving always to see the positive in all situations and working to leave a lasting legacy wherever I have been privileged to put into action my skills.
