About Merrill Cote

I've been an executive or administrative assistant for 15-plus years and have enjoyed a wide range of responsibilities in healthcare, higher education and the corporate world. As someone who often serves as both the "face" of the organization and the facilitator for multiple operations, I am uniquely situated to work with a wide range of co-workers, managers, clients, vendors and outside professionals. The opportunities for learning are endless, and I continue to be grateful for every one of them. In my current position with Hand Center of Louisiana, I work closely with the owner/medical director, physicians, medical case managers, attorneys, and patients to ensure the practice runs smoothly and patients get the care they need. I also assist with travel arrangements and scheduling related to media events, conferences, continuing education, and more. Before joining the Hand Center, I worked for the president of Profit On Hold, assisting with sales and administration for the company, while also working with customers worldwide to trouble-shoot their messaging systems and ensure accurate record-keeping and invoicing. Prior to that, I served as executive assistant to the VP of Academic Affairs at Our Lady of Holy Cross College where my role focused on supporting HR functions and assisting with various campus activities.
