About Merrily Ure

After 27 years in the medical device industry I accepted a retirement package in April 2023. I took time to travel, visit family and friends and reflect on ideas for my next act. As a young professional I spent most of my volunteer work helping women in transition; whether it be entering the workforce after raising children or from a death or divorce, or coming off welfare. I mentored women in their job searches and helped them leap into their new careers. I found a great sense of purpose in forging connections and buoying women to feel more secure, protected and empowered in whatever stage of life they found themselves. During my sabbatical, I considered ways in which I could marry that passion with a career design. I found myself considering and preparing for my own future needs and became a client at Heller Kowitz. A full service independent brokerage firm specializing in Life, Disability, Long Term Care, Employee Benefits and Personal and Commercial coverage. Their understanding of the challenges clients face and their ability to provide individualized solutions impressed me. So, in early 2024 I received my Life, Disability and Long Term Care license and now I'm an advisor at Heller Kowitz. I am helping people prepare for their next life transition and for the long term. I'm providing peace of mind and helping individuals and families with their health, businesses, assets and their legacies at present and for their future needs.
