Background
About Merry Bond
Higher education administrator in the community college setting with experience leading healthcare training and wellness programs, including direct oversight of a high-performing associate degree nursing program with average enrollment of 200 students in three program options and development of a post-licensure bachelor’s degree nursing program launched fall 2024. 18 years of combined experience in academic nursing education and bedside care in both skilled and acute care settings. Currently pursuing an EdD with nurse educator specialization. Research interests include access to and accessibility of nursing education (particularly in the community college setting), a trauma-informed approach to nursing education, and promoting equitable academic progression within nursing. I believe that the best pre-licensure nursing education programs are driven by learning outcomes which facilitate development of strong clinical reasoning, and I am passionate about promoting a humanistic approach in nursing education and leadership.
