I am the owner and sole director of Pensive Learning (PTY) Ltd a company that is responsible for designing and developing learning programmes for companies wanting SAQA accredited programmes for their employees. I have been involved in the updating and redesign of Learnership Programmes accredited by BANKSETA. I was part of the banking industry team that developed the first occupational certificates for the QCTO (Quality Council for Trades and Occupations) with BANKSETA named Occupational Certificate: Credit or Loans Officer, Occupational Certificate: Bank Teller and Occupational Certificate: Banknote Processor. We are part of the process for designing and developing two part qualifications with INSETA for the QCTO. They are Occupational Certificate: Long Term Insurance Adviser and Occupational Certificate: Investment Adviser.I have been involved in designing and developing two CHE (Council for Higher Education) qualifications, the Higher Certificate in Banking and the Advanced Certificate in Banking.I've worked with industry experts to help authenticate and verify the information in our programmes. I have worked with independent language editors. I have used and worked with several project management tools like Trello, Asana and Jira. I have worked on elearning authoring tools like Articulate Storyline, I have managed and overseen the installation of various Learning Management Systems. As a curriculum designer/instructional designer/learning and development specialist, my job is to help organisations realise their employees full potential. Only 6% of the South African population have university degrees, 6% have diplomas and 3% have TVET certificates. My responsibilities are to: Develop a curriculum frameworkComplete a high, mid level and detailed design of each moduleDevelop learner reading resources (for online and printed versions of the material)Develop learner activitiesDevelop formative assessmentsDevelop summative assessmentsUpskill the training team for every new module completedUpload the assessments to the learning management systemGather learner experience feedback to improve the design of the programme
