About Merwin Tirrell

I have enjoyed a career in providing assistance to those dealing with the fragility of the human spirit. I pride myself on developing creative approaches in assisting individuals to achieve their potential, as well as navigate through some of the labyrinths life puts before us. I value the team approach as well as appreciate singular efforts to a common goal. My developmental philosophy is form should follow function; only after we identify the root cause and it's micro-fissures are we able to construct appropriate intervention plans. I applied this philosophy in originating a police social work collaboration to address mental heath individuals that come in contact with the authorities. This program resulted in a significant decline in the crime rate in the town where it was implemented. I am please to say that this program grew to three communities and continues to today.
