About Mery Loor

I’m a community-focused Project & Case Manager with 6+ years of experience designing and leading programs in DEI, community engagement, anti-racism, and strategic partnerships. My work has always centered on supporting immigrant women, youth, racialized, and marginalized communities to gain fair access to housing, employment, education, and civic participation. I’ve worked across North America and Europe, fostering equity and social inclusion through an intersectional and intercultural lens. At The Women’s Building in San Francisco, I supported newcomer women in overcoming settlement barriers by connecting them with housing, employment, and wellness resources. In Barcelona, I built and sustained partnerships across nonprofits, corporations, and public agencies to foster programs and projects addressing migrant communities and advancing inclusion. What drives me is the belief that inclusion isn’t just a value: it’s a practice. I specialize in turning equity goals into real, measurable outcomes- Expanding access to housing, employment, and wellness services for newcomer and marginalized communities through tailored case management and client advocacy - Designing and leading community-based DEI and intercultural programs that improved participation and advanced rights awareness for 200+ women and racialized minorities - Building and sustaining partnerships across nonprofits, corporations, and public agencies to co-create initiatives that strengthened equity, engagement, and long-term community impact Now based in Toronto, I’m looking to contribute my experience to organizations working in DEI, project management, case worker, and community engagement. I bring a global perspective, a proven ability to bridge gaps between communities and systems, and a deep commitment to advancing social justice and equity in Canada.
