Providing a link between Barnardo’s Charity Retail stores and our Online Hub. Making the process of selling online for charity inclusive and supportive to all retail stores in Scotland and the North. Having worked in mainstream retail for 15 years, and after a break to have my two children, I returned to work in the charity sector for Barnardo’s. In four years I had worked my way up to become the manager of a donation centre where I increased profit from a negative in 17/18 to a profit of in 21/22 In 2018 Barnardo’s started selling on eBay and over the three years I was the store manager, I had made an extra for my store, purely through selling on eBay. I have always championed eBay for charity and it was such a natural progression to join the e-commerce team as an Engagement Manager for eBay in Scotland and the north of England. I travel around the country, inspiring, encouraging, supporting, and engaging with all stores, with an aim to increase sales, productivity, and knowledge. My first year in role, has seen me increase the eBay sales in Scotland by with an aim to double that for 2023. In 2022/23 I completed Level 4 Retail Management with Barnardo’s.
