About Mia Bohnmark

I am a compassionate and dedicated professional who follows a person-centered and strength-based approach, guided by a trauma-informed lens. With over a decade of hands-on experience in the mental health field, I have supported individuals with various mental health issues and needs. During my career I have gained great skills in active listen, comprehend individuals' needs, and cultivate trust to establish robust client-therapist relationships. My primary objective is to assist individuals in the exploration of their core values while discovering meaning and fulfillment in their lives. My academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in psychology, supplemented by further studies in counseling, psychotherapy (PDT, CBT), business management, health and fitness (Certified PT), as well as social work, completed in both Australia and Sweden. I am nearing the completion of my Master of Social Work in Australia, during which I have gained experience working with Qld Health and held a field placement position with the Acute Care Team at Gympie Mental Health. In 2002 I moved to Australia, before that I have lived in Sweden, The Netherlands, Spain, and Vietnam where I have had a diverse career path that has providing me with invaluable cross-cultural experiences and insights.
