Embarking on a career toward serving as a physician, with a special interest in neuroscience and the older adult community. Achieved a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences with a 4.0 GPA at the University of South Florida in December 2022, earning the King O'Neal Scholar Award at the Fall 2022 Graduation Commencement. Research assistant for the Positive Aging Lab at the University of South Florida. Earned first publication in March of 2021, entitled "Music Engagement and Episodic Memory among Middle-Aged and Older Adults: A National Cross-Sectional Analysis", found in The Journals of Gerontology: Series B. A follow-up study utilizing longitudinal analysis was published in April 2023. Additional research experience includes the publication of policy briefs on USF's Florida Policy Exchange Center on Aging, including topics of mild behavioral impairment and neuropsychiatric symptoms. Passion to serve the older adult community is lived out through the long-term volunteer position as a TeleHealth Buddy with Seniors in Service of Tampa Bay. Presented with the "Hero of Service" award in December of 2021 for contribution to the Health Buddies program. Explored love for science education as a volunteer tutor for the USF Chemistry Society, additionally serving as a Tutoring Lab Coordinator. Continued dedication towards chemistry with USF Academic Success Center as a Peer Learning Guide. Served as a peer mentor to fellow transfer students in the Transfer Engagement and Achievement Mentorship (T.E.A.M.) program housed in the Office of Transfer Student Success at USF.
