About Mia Lyons

Never in a million years would I have thought I would major in accounting, but I do. Even more astounding, I love it! I love the attention to detail. I love that it requires perseverance. I love that it requires me to think deeply about the topic I am learning. I love that I am learning a skill that will enable me to help businesses and individuals. I love that accounting is flexible and will allow me to work in many industries. I am eager to see where accounting will take me. Right now I understand that I am at a point in my career where I need to work in an entry-level position. I am eager to do this. I am eager to learn about an industry to the point where I will be able to help the industry grow. I am eager to contribute in any way that I can to help my employer succeed. I can think on my feet, solve problems, talk to anyone to both glean information and impart information, work hard to complete projects, as well as do the daily grind that every business owner requires. I have had previous experience with internships which have enforced my interest in the field. Time management and perseverance are required at any job. I bring those skills in spades. Learning new things is also a skill in which I take pride. I am determined enough to take on any learning challenge.
