About Mia Martinez

Sports has always been a passion of mine. Growing up I played soccer and volleyball all the way up till senior year of high school. one day I jumped onto a metal box and pulled a muscle in quad which required me to attend physical therapy. Because my love of sports I got inspired to pursue physical therapist assistant degree at St. Philips college. I am also exited to use my skills to help open up a practice in the near future. After high school I became a club volleyball coach for ages 15 and under, this helps me connect with different age groups and gives me the agility to teach in different ways. An accomplishment that I am proud of is that I graduated from Mesquite High School. In the beginning it was hard to believe that I was going though get though all years but my senior year I Knew I was going to be the 2nd person to graduate High School. This achievement brings out my character not only as a professional, but also as strong human being. My ultimate goal in pursuing this degree is a earn a Associates in Science as well as having a clinic for low income patients. I also interested in gaining more athletic training experience though internship and volunteer work.
