About Mia Pickering

As a student of the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, I prioritize being energized, being adaptable and being an inclusive leader within my professional and volunteer experiences. Energized: As the Director of Rush for my professional business fraternity, Phi Gamma Nu, keeping high energy and a positive mood throughout the rush process can be comforting to the prospective new members who may be networking for the first time in their careers. My attitude is also crucial to PGN for the expansion of the club and recruitment of new brothers. Adaptive: As a Marketing & Data Analytics Intern for ABEC, I went into the experience with the expectation that I would only be working in the marketing department. As the internship went on, I realized that my work impacted many different departments. I had to collaborate with multiple teams and adapt to various department styles and knowledge about the company to produce the most efficient outcome. Inclusive Leader: As the Membership Health Director of Phi Gamma Nu, it is crucial for me to work with the active members of the organization to hear their opinions on events, resources, and support. This leadership role is meant to aid active health in all aspects, so receiving feedback and hearing all voices has helped the program succeed. I hope to continue highlighting these three values throughout my schooling and in my future careers.
