About Mia Prasad

I recently graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in sociology and a minor in business and government. My academic background has provided me with a strong foundation in leadership, organizational strategy, and problem-solving, which I apply in my professional roles. Currently, I am the general manager of Spicy Cantina, a high-volume beachfront restaurant in Seaside Heights, NJ, where I lead a team of 50+ employees. I oversee daily operations, optimize efficiency, implement staff training programs, and drive business growth through strategic marketing and operational improvements. My focus is on enhancing the customer experience, streamlining workflows, and increasing profitability while fostering a positive and high-performing workplace culture. Previously, I worked as an editor and producer for the Women’s Health Institute at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, where I collaborated on the second edition of Humanities and Medicine journal, editing and formatting research in women's health. My experience in research, communication, and project management has strengthened my ability to lead teams, manage complex projects, and drive operational success. I am passionate about leadership, hospitality, and business strategy, and I thrive in fast-paced environments that require strong problem-solving skills and adaptability. Let’s connect!
