About Miaca Williams

Welcome! Since my graduation from Frostburg State University, I have decided to work in the Education field. In 2016, I received full-time employment in Montgomery County Public School (MCPS) in Maryland as a Special Education Paraprofessional and English Composition Assistant. As a Paraprofessional, I have assisted students in the Special Education program ranging from SCB (school-community based), LFI (Learning for Independence), and LAD (Learning and Academic Disabilities). I have been a job coach, helping students in the LFI program develop skills appropriate for the workplace. Within the LAD program, I have enjoyed creating various modifications to student assignments. I have also provided support to general education teachers in the classroom as co-teacher. As an English Composition Assistant, I have provided not only assistance to teachers but also to students; providing feedback on various essays and other projects. Skilled in some Google applications such as Docs, Drive, and Classroom. Strong creative and analytical writer. As part of MCPS support staff, I have learned to be flexible and adaptable to any grade level.
