I am currently thriving as an EAP Care Advocate at CuraLinc Healthcare, where I am continually advancing my clinical and administrative competencies. This position empowers me to assist individuals in managing their mental health challenges while also broadening my knowledge and skills in the dynamic field of employee assistance programs. Career Highlights- Former LPC Associate at Phoenix Arise Counseling & Consultation under Dr. Nicole Black, focusing on clients of all ages facing severe anxiety, depression, trauma, dissociation, grief, and PTSD- Gained extensive knowledge and training in trauma and dissociation, with certifications in EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy, TF-CBT, and CBT- Worked for three years as local mental health authority as case manager and Cognitive Behavioral Therapist at Starcare Specialty Health System in the Adult Behavioral Health department, assisting individuals with severe mental illnesses, including Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, and Schizoaffective disorders- Provided comprehensive case management services, treatment planning, and coordinated efforts with psychiatric nurse practitioners for client care continuity- Engaged in outreach and prevention programs, specifically the StarParent Parenting Awareness and Drug Risk Education program, supporting at-risk families involved with the Department of Family and Protective Services- Completed internships at Family Counseling Services (FCS) and Lubbock Independent School District (LISD), enhancing practical experience in counseling settings.
