About Micaela Benson

Micaela is an Associate Communication and Engagement Consultant, with over 13 years’ experience in stakeholder engagement, communications and urban planning. Micaela has successfully delivered communication and engagement activities across the project lifecycle, including project inception through to planning and construction. This includes stakeholder analysis and mapping, development of stakeholder strategies, analysis and reporting on community and stakeholder feedback, workshop facilitation and public displays. Micaela also has extensive experience in construction communications, negotiation and conflict resolution, access agreements (including other legal agreements) and external communications. Prior to joining Jacobs, Micaela spent eight years abroad in the United Kingdom and Europe delivering communication and engagement services for various road, rail, airport, environmental, housing and planning projects. In particular, she was Stakeholder Lead & Manager on multiple road, rail and airport projects, including King’s Cross Track Improvement as part of the East Coast Upgrade (a £2-billion-pound project), Future T2 at Heathrow Airport Terminal 2 (a £2-billion-pound project) and High Speed 2, a new railway line between London, Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester (Over £100-billion-pound project). Micaela has previously held roles in town planning policy, housing and mining with the Queensland Government and Brisbane City Council.
