About Micaela Fenwick

I am a life-long learner with broad personal interests including mycology, geology, anatomy and physiology. I am passionate about teaching science, and work to promote scientific literacy by designing educational experiences that give students a broader, grander view of the natural world. I am fully committed to high professional standards, and design my classroom instruction to reflect the latest research in science education and brain-based learning. I have high academic standards for all students, and have been consistently successful in providing a science education that sparks student curiosity, promotes critical thinking, and nurtures creative problem solving. I am dedicated to living and working in an urban setting, and strive to equip students of all ethnic, racial and socioecenomic backgrounds for success in life and careers in science professions.
