About Micah Beasley

I currently hold a 3rd Class Power Engineering Certificate. I am motivated to learn and grow as a Power Engineer and am pursuing my 2nd class (6/6 papers complete). I am excited with the many different career opportunites that it will bring. I have completed the 2 year Power Engineering Technology Diploma at NAIT, and through hard work and dedication was able to achieve a 4.0 through the help of instructors, mentors and classmates. My summer practicum at Nutrien Fort Saskatchewan provided me with experience of working a turnaround, as well as seeing normal plant operations. I spent my summer in utilities and have started my career as an Operator-in-Training at Nutrien Fort Saskatchewan. During my experience as a Shop Foreman I was able gain experience in being able to work well under pressure, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, training/development, organization, leadership skills and communications skills to effectively communicate with customers and employees. My experience as a Service Truck Operator has helped developed many industry-relevant skills, working independently, problem solving, time management and making sound decisions quickly. I strengthened my mechanical aptitude, developed strong team work qualities, became more safety orientated, and learned how to work safely and efficiently in challenging environments in all conditions.
