Background
About Micah K.
I am a strategist, writer, and researcher working to tell the most important story of our lifetimes. At Redwood Climate Communications, I work with climate tech startups and nonprofits to help them reach their target audiences and, ultimately, combat the climate crisis. I also volunteer as a regional engagement coordinator for Clean Creatives in New York City, where I help build community among creatives who want to pressure our industry to stop working with fossil fuel companies. In 2021, I worked as an English Teaching Assistant with the Fulbright Program in Mexico at la Universidad Politécnica de Yucatán, where I utilized my fluency in Spanish to create engaging lesson plans for students, provided individual mentorship and career development support, and facilitated broader cultural exchange between Mexico and the United States. I am deeply passionate about immigrant rights, climate justice, public health, and holding the fossil fuel industry accountable for their decades of delay and deceit, among other things. If you want to chat about any of these, drop me a line!
