About Micah Sheldon

I have a well rounded background in the Federal Government, Mining industry, and in the Army National Guard/Reserves. I am with the Department of Veterans Affairs where I work as a Project Engineer in support of Non-Recurring Maintenance Projects and support the entire Fort Meade Medical Campus. I have spent time in the Forest Service supporting road design and maintenance as well as ranching projects to include pipelines, water tanks, and fencing. In the mining industry I have been involved with tailing basin dam design, construction, and field monitoring; short and long range mine planning; open pit design and development; ore blending; drill and blast planning; project management; and reclamation. As an officer in the Army National Guard, I have served in a variety of leadership roles where I have been involved with construction management and training and operational planning and supervising. I am a professional engineer and have my PE in MN. Computer programs I have worked closely with are Vulcan, ArcGIS, Wenco (dispatching and reporting software) and Microsoft office suite. I am also familiar with Auto CAD Civil 3D. I am a team player and problem solver familiar with coordinating with multiple disciplines with-in a company and multiple outside agencies to achieve goals.
