About Micah Stevens

I'm a hardware and software engineer with 25 years of experience in system design, test and deployment. I'm really good at figuring out how to get somewhere from where you're at, regardless of the situation at hand. Currently I'm quite involved in the electric transportation world, and have spent a lot of the past several years engineering Control Systems, including BMS and power control systems for EV and grid storage batteries. My hardware and firmware is in one of the largest electric commuter bus fleets in the US, and I'm currently working on battery and BMS design for an exciting EV manufacturer in Los Angeles. I develop PCBs, design firmware, build analog sensors, link the hardware to the cloud and can help with the cloud software as well. I specialize in microcontroller digital design and analog sensors, but have worked with RF, Bluetooth, RADAR and more. I've also spent a lot of time with web application development, especially with JavaScript heavy business application UI's. I've really loved working with GIS applications and data storage. I've worked with research departments at universities, startups of all shapes, and established companies including Sony Ericsson, Motorola, AEG, dSpace, Qualcomm, and more.
