About Micha Maldonado

I recently graduated from the College of Nursing at Seattle University. I am very interested in the care of individuals within the acute care setting, psychiatric care of both women and men, as well as the care for wounds and wound management. I am someone who is excited to learn and engage in new experiences. As a graduate nurse, I am constantly reminded of traits such as compassion, respect and honesty that make up the nursing role. In your mission statement, you state that you want to provide quality care to the community that is personalized, compassionate, and gives the client dignity and respect. As I move forward in my nursing career, I want to ensure that the nurses of my generation truly believe all lives have the same worth, deserve the utmost respect while in our care, and have their rights honored as human beings. I am very interested in the care of individuals within the acute care setting, psychiatric care of both women and men, as well as wound care management. In a couple of years, I plan to further my education in wound care management and possibly psychiatric women’s health to either a Master's Degree for wound care or a PhD in research for psychiatric care.
