Michael Beaty is a Partner in KPMG's Consulting practice focused on performance improvement and technology transformation in the healthcare industry. He is currently focused on assisting clients with addressing the challenges driven by reform, economic changes, consumer preference and technology innovation. He has been the primary project lead for multiple projects including business strategy, process engineering, project management, merger integration, technology selection/implementation and governance reviews during his tenure with KPMG. Recent project experiences include:* Development of Digital Health Strategies including patient self-service, online scheduling and telehealth solutions * Deployment of enterprise telemedicine solutions * Development of patient access strategies for multi-service line providers * Development of centralized scheduling solutions for multi-location providers * Transformation of care management programs for multi-hospital systems * Design and implementation of PCMH models, ACO models and joint ventures * Design and implementation of custom healthcare analytic solutions * Implementation of cost optimization programs for payers and providers * Assisting providers with implementation of Meaningful Use Stage 1 and 2 Requirements * Assistance with implementation/optimization of electronic health record solutions Michael’s clients include industry leading healthcare organizations in the payer, provider and healthcare technology segments. He is the lead KPMG relationship partner for many of the largest KPMG Healthcare accounts in the Southeast. Additionally, Michael has significant responsibility for identifying investments required to develop new KPMG capabilities and services required to serve healthcare industry clients.
