I previous worked at a small tax firm (CFO Professional Services PC in Midlothian, VA.) from 2019-2022. My role & duties while I was employed were monthly bookkeeping, payroll, AP, AR, and data entry for tax returns. I was also in charge of over seeing the interns, and reviewing their work for accuracy. In addition, I was responsible for submitting sales taxes reports to the states of VA & NC. Currently, I am working for the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association, and have been here since March of 2022. I originally was hired as a Staff Accountant but have prompted to Senior Accountant. My roles & duties are severing as lead on AP & AR, managing the employee credit card system, preparing monthly credit card journal entry, preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly financial statements for VHHA Shared Services. I also regularly make bank deposits and enter cash receipts, prepare semi-monthly payroll for submission to payroll processer, reconciling cash and investment accounts including related journal entry posting, supporting the annual budgeting process by entering all budgets into the accounting system, preparing monthly sales and use tax returns, annual 1099 reporting, maintaining the fixed asset recordkeeping systems. In addition, I assist the Director of Accounting with routine journal entries for VHHA and VHHA Foundation, and also the department lead in maintaining offsite accounting files. As well, as any special project as assigned by the CFO. I have experience with QuickBooks, Sage 50 and Sage Intacct accounting software, and I am proficient in Microsoft Office products. I have knowledge about Salesforce, Authorize.Net, ePacInfo and SmartSheet. I have assisted and served as a lead participant in the implementation of a new accounting system software change from Sage 50 to Sage Intacct. My biggest achievement so far, was being the first person on my father side of the family to graduate from college.
