About Michael Adair

Michael joined City National Rochdale in 2012 and has over 22 years of experience in the financial services industry. Previously, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Adair Asset Management, Inc. where his firm catered to high-net-worth clients. Michael's firm was purchased by a nationally chartered bank, and he subsequently became the President of the acquiring bank’s wealth management subsidiary. In addition, he served on the bank’s asset-liability committee. He began his career in the industry as a financial advisor at UBS and also worked as a Managing Director at a RIA in Connecticut. Michael earned his BS in Finance from the University of Alabama’s Culverhouse College of Commerce and Business Administration. He is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and a former officer of the CFA society of Alabama. Michael is also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), and he holds the CPWA® designation, completing the coursework through the Yale School of Management. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association of North Alabama. As a volunteer, Michael serves on the Board of Visitors for the Culverhouse College of Business at the University of Alabama. He also is part of a group of professionals that mentor University of Alabama football players and help them prepare for their post-athletic careers. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Isabel Anderson Comer Museum and Arts Center, and he is also a pro bono financial planner, providing planning services to help people in need.
