About Michael Alanis

Michael Alanis currently serves as a Terminal Manager in Operations for Sun Coast Resources, Inc, Houston, Texas. In 2018, Asst. Chief Alanis retired from the Corpus Christi Police Department, after 20 years of service, to join Sun Coast Resources, Inc. Between 1998 and 2008, he served with numerous divisions within CCPD, including Patrol, Traffic Safety, Community Relations, Investigations, Auto Theft, Public Information, and Technology. By 2012, Asst. Chief Alanis had graduated from Midwestern State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and was overseeing the Public Information Office within the Office of the Chief of Police. In 2017, Asst. Chief Alanis oversaw the Department Operations Center during Hurricane Harvey. He is a graduate of the Senior Management Institute for Police (SMIP) Session 64, and graduated from the FBI National Academy, Quantico, VA, Session 255. Asst. Chief Alanis has a Bachelor of Arts 2012 and a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice 2018 from Midwestern State University. Prior to beginning his career with CCPD, Asst. Chief Alanis served his country in the United States Air Force as a Security Specialist (SP), and a Military Training Instructor (MTI).
