Background

About Michael Albarran

I am an experienced structural engineer working in forensic engineering, passionate about analyzing structural failures and enhancing building durability. With over five years of experience in designing high-seismic custom residential structures and midrise commercial structures, I possess proficiency in software such as RISA 3D, Enercalc, and AutoCAD/Archicad for structural analysis and modeling. My experience in structural design and collaborative project execution equips me to excel in forensic investigations, identifying failure causes, and proposing effective solutions. My passion for engineering stemmed from my persistent curiosity as a kid for how buildings stand. Having designed projects including commercial buildings and large-scale residences, I am eager to continue to apply my skills to forensic engineering and further develop my expertise (and to help ensure the buildings stay standing). Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, sports, family, and love finding new restaurants!
