About Michael Angst

After graduating from college in 2015, I started working for Kohler in their Power Systems division as a New Product Development Engineer, located in Sheboygan, WI. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Platteville with a Degree in Mechanical Engineering in December 2015. I took challenging technical electives including Mechanical System Design, Finite Element Analysis and Heat transfer Applications. I read through notes and books from other technical electives like Quality Engineering, Engineering Continuous Improvement, and Internal Combustion Engines independently. I starting my engineering experience as a Process Engineer Co-op in 3M's Abrasive Systems division located in Prairie Du Chien, WI. I managed multiple continuous improvement projects from start to finish working with Engineers, Operators, Maintenance crew, and outside vendors. After that I had an Internship at Orbital ATK as a Quality Engineer in their Armament System division located in Plymouth, MN. I reviewed supplier data packages, build lists, and drawing trees. In addition, I worked with part specification requirements and customer contract requirements. During my internship, I worked with multiple departments like Buyers, Designers, Receiving and Inspection, and the Supplier Quality team.
