About Michael Aronsen

With over fifteen years of experience in high-performance computing (HPC) solutions, I am the Technical Vice President at Adaptive Computing, a leading provider of cloud and on-premise HPC software. In this role, I oversee the design, development, and delivery of innovative and scalable HPC solutions for various industries and applications, leveraging my expertise in Unix, Linux, and FreeBSD operating systems. I also collaborate with the sales, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure the satisfaction and retention of our clients, as well as the growth and profitability of our business. Before joining Adaptive Computing, I was an HPC Solutions Architect at Oracle, where I helped design and implement cloud-based HPC solutions for enterprise customers, using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Oracle Linux. I also provided technical guidance and support to the sales and engineering teams, as well as the end-users, to optimize the performance, reliability, and security of the HPC solutions. Prior to that, I was a Lead System Architect at Skarde, a startup that developed and deployed HPC solutions for scientific and engineering research. I was responsible for the architecture, configuration, and administration of the HPC systems, using a variety of open-source and proprietary tools and platforms, such as Slurm, Singularity, and Nvidia CUDA. I also led a team of system engineers and developers, and managed the integration and testing of the HPC solutions with the research applications and data. I am passionate about advancing the field of HPC and creating solutions that can solve complex and challenging problems in various domains, such as AI, biotechnology, climate change, and aerospace. I am always eager to learn new skills and technologies, and to share my knowledge and experience with others. I am also committed to fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and diversity in the HPC community.
