About Michael Babe

As an aspiring environmental technologist, I am dedicated to creating positive change for future generations. I have certainly taken a detour on my journey, but always felt drawn to the natural world, its complexity and simplicity. Over the course of my professional and academic career I have gained valuable skills and insights into the construction industry, data analysis, laboratory work and leadership. On a personal level, over the course of my life, I have learned three things, that drive me they are: 1. Whatever you choose to do professionally, you owe it to yourself to strive to be the best you can be at it. To reinforce this point while my education was not in the civil field, I was able to achieve a supervisor position at my past employer. Everyone has something they can teach you. In my opinion the most beautiful thing about humanity is that this rings true in every arena. I have been the recipient of several great ideas and lessons from the most unexpected sources, and I am very grateful that they chose to share that wisdom with me. It’s not always about you I believe we sometimes need to take a step back and identify what is most important to us. In doing so an individuals purpose becomes clear.
