About Michael Bailey

I’m a Station Officer with the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) and a Non-Executive Director at FES Super, bringing together frontline leadership experience and a solid foundation in finance. With a Commerce degree (majoring in Finance) from Curtin University, I’ve built a career that blends operational leadership, risk management, and financial oversight. In my role at DFES, I lead a dedicated firefighting team—managing emergency response, team development, and day-to-day station operations. I’m committed to building a strong, positive team culture where people feel valued and prepared to deliver their best when it matters most. Outside of emergency services, I contribute to the strategic direction of FES Super as a Non-Executive Director. I draw on my finance background to support sound governance, investment decisions, and risk management—helping secure the future for members in the fire and emergency services community. I’m always open to connecting with others who share an interest in leadership, public service, finance, or governance.
