Michael Balke is a San Francisco based cinematographer who offers a unique package of creative talent, technical skills and industry experience to meet the storytelling needs of any production. For sports apparel branding company Fanlime, Michael created branding videos for Super Bowl champion Marshawn Lynch of The Seattle Seahawks; Dancing with the Stars Dancer Cheryl Burke’s Dance Network; and he has created over 50 promotional videos for Insomniac Events, Life in Color and My Life Every Day (LED Events). Michael brings his vast knowledge of the Blackmagic cinema cameras, RED cameras, as well as the Sony F55 and FS700 high definition cameras and Canon cinema cameras and DSLRs. Balke is currently in post-production on his own film, The Field, an epic WWII short about an American and a German soldier caught in a minefield who must over come their differences to survive.
