About Michael Barnes

I'm currently living in Los Angeles and working in television production. I have experience in numerous areas including pre and post production, digital new media, still camera photography and Go-Pro work. I've worked as a production assistant on both major studio TV productions and small crew shows in the office, on set and in the field, also as key PA, executive assistant, on-set photographer, technical assistant and release coordinator. I have shown talents for building relationships with TV clients, on-set marketing photography, ordering catering for large crews, art department work, handling phones and online research. I've been described as having a "johnny-on-the-spot" work ethic, self-motivated,"think as a team" problem solver, I alway have a sunny attitude and stay calm and determined under pressure. My ultimate goal is to become a TV sitcom writer. I graduated with a B.A. in Radio and Television from San Francisco State University in 2009. I've also completed a certificate for Television Writing at UCLA in 2012.
