About Michael Barre

Looking for a team that will invest in me as much as I will invest in them. As a Navy Engineer I have spent 23 years solving problems, performing maintenance, leading groups of 5 to 20 individuals with multicultural and multinational back grounds. I have experiance operating both gas turbine and diesel engines, trouble shooting machinery failures, performed quality assurance inspections and preventing catastrophic machinery failures. I have become a well rounded technician that is capable of all levels of maintenance and administrative tracking. I was a team player in multiple humanitarian missions and projects. Helping people effected by natural disasters and poor economic conditions. A few of the locations were India, Seychelles and the Maldives. while working for Aggreko, I spent 2 years as the project manager of an 8 million dollar a year power, temperature and compressed air project. Leading 3 remote technicians. The project location is one of the most remote locations in the companies history. Daily travel to job site was a 13 mile transit by boat that took roughly an hour in good weather and longer in inclement weather. When not managing my project I was managing a service with 8 technicians, 1 shop hand and assist my manager and our logistics coordinator. We prepared rental equipment for many local and remote small and large project. Some projects were boat shows, the PGA, concerts, art shows, the NFL, the Olympics and a salmon farm. I am currently work for Epsilon Systems Solutions completing preventive maintenance and repairs on Navy ships. Primary focus is the Freedom platform of the Littoral Class Ships (LCS).
