About Michael Bassey

With over 18 years of experience in the energy industry, I am a Process Safety Advisor at Chevron, where I oversee and guide the implementation of process safety management (PSM) practices within the Escravos Gas to Liquids (GTL) Plant. My role is crucial in ensuring operational integrity, reliability, and safety, significantly reducing risks associated with complex process facility processes. I am also a co-founder of two successful companies, Brianich Consults and iHome Design and Construction, where we help clients deliver challenging projects while achieving operational excellence, optimizing processes and programs, and managing risks effectively. As a Board Advisor for Swift Sites and xFusion Technologies, I leveraged my expertise in AI/ML, project management, incident investigation, and automation to provide strategic guidance and support. I hold a Doctor of Engineering degree from The George Washington University, an MBA from the University of Lagos, and a Master of Engineering degree from the North-West University. I am passionate about innovation, learning, and mentoring in the energy, technology, and construction sectors.
