About Michael Bentley

During my undergrad, I had part-time jobs in the food and merchandise industry. I learned valuable communication skills in these positions and was promoted to leadership positions. These jobs allowed me to also grow in patience and appreciation for those in my community. Once I completed my undergrad, I went straight into sales with a housing complex in Statesboro. In the two years I was there, I went from a full-time sales lead to the Sales Manager. In this position, I gained valuable knowledge of Housing law and sharpened my managerial skills. My current position is as an academic advisor for Georgia Southern, the college from which I graduated. I have taken this opportunity to become more of a mentor to students. This has been more challenging than previous experiences because each student has a customized experience that caters to their needs. In this position, I have also learned how to collect data and present it to leads to provide helpful data in conducting business.
