Senior Landscape Architect Project Manager Connect with me using: michael.beresnak@gmail.com I am a landscape architect with over twenty years of experience in the profession. This includes work in the private sector as a landscape architectural consultant for land developers, municipalities, post secondary facilities and private clients. I have led a design team as project manager and contributed to a design team as a sub consultant. As a lead designer / project manager I have managed clients, staff, design consultants, design budgets, construction budgets and contract administration. In addition, I have experience in the public sector, implementing a parks capital budget program for the City of Saskatoon including design and contract administration of new parks, upgrades to existing parks and coordinating community park enhancement program. My experience in the design and construction process includes the following: • Site analysis • Design programming / stakeholder meetings • Conceptual design • Cost estimating • Presentation drawings / public presentations • Contract documents • Contract administration I embrace the collaborative aspect of design that includes clients, stakeholders, the public, consulting teams and approving authorities. My experience in stakeholder involvement also includes work with the Alberta Association of Landscape Architects. During the past three years as secretary with the association, I have been involved in member reviews, surveys, discussion forums and member voting for both the bylaw review (2010) and whether or not to become a member of the Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards (2013) – both contentious issues and both successfully adopted.
