About Michael Berwick

I have over 10 years’ experience working as a full time landscape consultant and Biodiversity Net Gain lead. I have experience working on a wide range of projects. These have included LVIA’s, landscape strategy’s and detailed planting designs, biodiversity enhancement plans and landscape management; particularly in relation to housing developments, transport infrastructure, flood alleviation schemes, and public realm design. I have very strong technical skills in AutoCAD 2D and KeySCAPE, and a broad range of other software including Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp and GIS (ESRI ArcMap). I have worked with a range of protected species including Great Crested Newts, Dormouse, Bats, Water Voles, Reptiles and Badgers, and I currently hold a Great Crested Newt license. I also have extensive experience in management plans, Preliminary Ecological Appraisals and Phase 1 Habitat Surveys. I am currently BNG lead for my company, combining my experience and interests in landscape and ecology to provide a holistic approach to achieving BNG on a project.
